Bright Ideas in Eureka Springs!

Join us May 17-18, 2008 for the 5th annual symposium in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Our host is the Inn of the Ozarks, where you’ll find lots of space to stroll, jog, and relax in a beautiful historic city. A highlight of this year’s conference will be the Saturday night social at the 1904 Basin Park Hotel, with featured guest speaker the very talented photographer and photo magazine journalist Charmaine Beleele. In addition to the Sunday symposium, check out the other pre conference activities, including workshops and the annual late night downtown photo session. This year’s Vendor Fair will feature door prizes during every break in addition to companies with the latest in photographic tools and toys.

Picnic

The Photo Alliance Annual Picnic will be on May 17. The club will provide  the meat and buns. Members will sign up at the meeting to bring a dish and each person will be responsible for bringing their own chair, drink (no alcohol), plate, napkins and eating utensils.

The picnic will be on Mt. Magazine at the pavilion.

Welcome to the new Website of the Photographic Alliance. I hope that you find the site informative and useful. Many areas are still under construction, or not complete. I need your assistance to correct any problems or bad links etc. if you find any please use the feedback form and let me know about the problems. If you have ideas for content, wish to write an article etc. please do and email it to me.
Members may have a gallery setup for their pictures and personal information, if you are interested in a page please let me know and I will set it up for you. Please limit the gallery to approximately 20 images or less. This is a basic page only, if you wish for something more elaborate please contact me. I am also needing member photos to adorn the pages of the web site. If interested please email photos to me, credit will be given to the photographer.

32nd Annual Photography Competition and Exhibition Announced

Fort Smith, AR - Display your photographic talent by sending your entries to the Photographic Alliance's Annual Photography Competition and Exhibition, sponsored by the Photographic Alliance of the Fort Smith Art Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas. You could win a part of over $1,600 in prize money to be awarded on Sunday November 2nd, 2007.

During 2008 Sparks Hospital has asked the Photo Alliance Members to display photos in the new addition of the hospital.
 

Openings will be on the date listed for the first month of the show from 6-8 pm.

New Meeting

Location

We will be holding our regular meeting at he Janet Huckabee Arkansas River Valley Nature Center. We will have a much larger meeting room, which we need desperately!  If you are not sure how to get there here is a map.
